Which Heaters Are Compatible? The Drop Pole Mount Assembly works with all Infratech C-Series and CD-Series heaters, including all Motif Collection models (Contemporary, Craftsman, Mediterranean, Traditional). It does NOT work with W-Series or WD-Series heaters - those use pole mount assemblies or flush mount frames. When Do I Need a Drop Pole? Use a drop pole when your ceiling is higher than the recommended mounting height for your heater. By lowering the heater closer to the seated area, you maintain optimal heat coverage. For example, if your covered patio has a 12-foot ceiling and your heater calls for a 9-10 foot mounting height, a drop pole lets you bring the heater down 2-3 feet. Drop Pole vs. Pole Mount: Drop poles hang from the ceiling and extend downward. Pole mounts are freestanding 8-foot poles that mount to the floor or ground. Choose a drop pole for ceiling-mounted installations in high spaces. Choose a pole mount when you want a freestanding installation without ceiling attachment. Installation Note: Adjust the drop pole to desired length BEFORE running power or conduit through the assembly to prevent damage and possible electrical shock. Professional installation by a licensed electrician is required. |
