How Many Zones Do I Need? Each zone dial on the analog controller corresponds to one or more relays in your Solid State Relay Panel. If you want to control each relay (or group of relays) independently, you need one zone per group. This 2-zone controller lets you adjust 2 separate areas to different heat levels simultaneously. Pairing with Relay Panels: One analog dial can control up to 3 relays. This 2-zone controller can manage panels with up to 6 relays total when zones are grouped. For full independent control, match each relay to its own zone dial. Complete Package Required: This analog controller and a Solid State Relay Panel must both be purchased together.
